Pocket Prayers

What you will need for pocket prayers:

colored construction paper
cardboard tube from toilet paper
gift wrap
stapler
markers
crayons
scissors
glue

Directions:

Cut the gift wrap to a size that fits the tube from the toilet paper. Cut the construction paper in half along its length, then fold these pieces in two, placing them one inside the other.

Make a book by stapling along the fold.

Write "I pray for my church, my friends, and my family" on the cover - your child can then draw pictures to go with his/her prayers.

Give your child a piece of gift wrap and a tube from the toilet paper. Ask them to glue the gift wrap to the tube, then leave it to dry. Finally, roll the prayer book up and put it into the 'pocket' (which is actually the toilet paper tube) to take home.
