These paper towel rain makers will bring out your children's creativity in more ways than one!
Not only will they enjoy making them, they'll also have a blast actually using them, to make plenty of noise at a family celebration or to make sweet music (!) at home.
To make these Paper Towel Rain Makers you will need...
paper towel holders rubber bands dried beans waxed paper paints, crayons, markers, glitter
Directions...
First, take a paper towel roll and decorate it. You are creating a musical instrument here, so really go to town - why not make it look super-stunning by painting it with metallic paints then glueing on sequins?
Take a circle of wax paper and place it over one end of the roll. Secure it tightly with a rubber band.
Pour in two handfuls of dried beans - try split peas or lentils, or you could even use rice!
Cover the open end of the roll with a second circle of wax paper and seal as before.
Tip your rain maker from side to side to hear the sound it produces... let's get the party started!
