These paper plate holders will be a delightful creation for your kids to put their special little things into. In fact, you should (I hope!) find it much easier to encourage them to tidy up when they're storing their treasures in holders they've made for themselves!
To make these super holders you will need...
two paper plates hole punch scraps of yarn paints, markers or crayons
Directions...
Cut one paper plate in half.
Lay the whole plate on the table, then turn the half plate upside down. Place it on top of the whole plate so that it forms a pocket.
Make holes all the way around the outside of the plate with a hole punch.
Using a scrap of yarn, 'sew' the plates together by passing the yarn through the holes you've made, starting and ending at the top of the plate. Make sure the piece of yarn is longer than needed - that way you'll have some extra at the top which you can tie off and use to hang the plate on a hook.
Your children can then decorate their plates however they wish, using markers, crayons, paints and even some glitter!
These holders make the perfect place to keep treasured photographs and special notes.
