Paper Mache Cat

This paper mache cat is adorable when finished.

Stuff a bag full of other bags or newspapers to make the cat's body.

Form a smaller bunch into a ball shape for his head. Cut a paper towel tube in half lengthwise to use for legs (stuff the backs with more plastic bags to round body out).

Cut two half-moon shapes out of leftover cardboard tubing and tape in place for ears.

Use plentiful amounts of tape to shape and form your balls and bunches into a cat shape, then cover with several (at least four) layers of paper mache strips(the more and the smoother, the better).

Use plain paper for the last layer or two if your finish color will be light, otherwise newsprint can take several coats to cover.
