Mothers Day Crafts

What mother does not love to receive handmade gifts from her children? Here you will find a few crafts for kids to make for Mom.

Kids-Crafts-Creations will be adding more Mothers Day Crafts.

Pressed Flowers

What You Will Need:

Small, brightly colored flowers
paper towels
heavy books

Directions:

1. Collect the flowers of your choice.

2. Let the flowers dry for an hour or two.

3. Place the flowers between the paper towels.

4. Press between two heavy books for two to six weeks. The flowers are ready when they feel dry and very thin.

You can do a lot of beautiful craft projects when you have dried flowers on hand!

Ways to use your pressed flowers:

Cards, framed pressed flowers, pictures, bookmarks, book coverings, scrapbooks, decoupage vases, and many more ideas.

Tissue Paper Flowers What You Need:

Tissue paper
Green pipe cleaner
Scissors
Ruler

What to Do:

1. Cut the tissue paper into rectangles of the desired size (5"x7" is perfect).

2. Stack about six pieces of the tissue paper. You can use all the same color or mix colors.

3. From the long side of the tissue paper, fold it as you would a paper fan - back and forth.

4. Wind one end of the pipe cleaners around the middle of the folded tissue paper.

5. Very carefully separate each layer pulling upwards towards the middle of the flower.

Yummy Bouquet for Mom

(Made from Hershey's Kisses)

What You Need:

Chocolate Kisses
Pink plastic wrap
Green tape
Scotch tape
Green pipe cleaners
Green tissue paper

What to Do: 1. Tape two foil-wrapped Hershey's Kisses bottom to bottom.

2. Drape a five-inch square of pink plastic wrap over the top of one kiss.

3. Gather the edges and twist them into a tail.

4. Tightly twist the top of a green pipe cleaner around the tail for the stem then add leaves by holding a strip of green tissue paper against the stem and rolling the pipe cleaner around the center of the strip.

4. Trim the leaves so that they have pointy tips, and wrap green tape around the stem portion above the leaves to reinforce it.

5. Make 4 or 5 of these to create a bouquet of roses.
