Keepsake Crafts

Autumn Handprint Wreath

Handprint crafts are wonderful because they enable you to preserve your child's handprint in a work of art you can display, or treasure in a scrapbook or binder of special memories. It's fun to see how your child has grown with these keepsake crafts!

You will need:

glue
scissors
colored construction paper or paint

This craft can be done in two different ways. The first method is to trace your child's hand on to paper, then cut the handprint out. Another method is to have your child make handprints on to the paper with paint, then cut THOSE out.

Make nine handprints (try 3 yellow, 3 red, 3 green).

Cut the prints out, then glue them to form a wreath pattern.

Add your own finishing touches to the reef by decorating with autumnal pictures, such as pumpkins, leaves, corn etc. The pictures can be cut from magazines, or you can have your children draw them!
