Funny Face Garden Stakes

These funny face garden stakes are a fun way to mark your vegetables in your garden. Your kids can get as creative as they want with this craft!

You may want to use more crafts supplies than listed to make these a little more elaborate.

Here's what you'll need...

pieces of wood similar in size to tongue depressors (those strips of wood you see at the doctor's surgery)
permanent markers
craft glue or a glue gun
googly eyes
yarn

Directions...

The aim here is to make one garden stake for each vegetable row or individual area that you wish to mark.

Ask your child to draw on each stick the particular vegetable that the stick will be marking.

Now decorate the veggie picture, using your choice of googly eyes, permanent marker, hair made from yarn.. anything, in fact, that your child wants to add! Encourage him to use his imagination!

Finally, place each stick in the appropriate vegetable row and wait for the real thing to emerge from the soil. Have fun!
