Collage Of The Creation Part 1
Scripture: Gen. 1: 1-31
This easy bible story craft does not need a lot of preparation and even the pre-school kids will be able to take part in this easy craft.
Before starting this craft tell the children the "Creation Story" as it is written in Genesis 1. Tell them how God made everything perfect.
Items needed for this craft:
large piece of poster board
magazines for pictures of creation
glue stick
kid safe scissors
scotch tape
How to do this craft:
Give each child a magazine and let them look for pictures that make them think of God creating the earth. You can be looking for pictures as well.
When they have their pictures cut out let them talk about why they chose their pictures.
Let the children help you glue the pictures onto the poster paper with the glue stick.
Destroyed Collage Part 2
Next week you can take this craft one step further. To symbolize the fall of man (Scripture: Gen. 3:1-6), you are now going to cut the collage up into pieces like a puzzle. The size and amount of pieces will depend on the age and amount of children in the class. Mix up the pieces.
Now you can share with them the Good News of how Jesus died on the cross for us (Scripture: Isaiah 53: 4-10), and how His death brought salvation and healing.
Let them put the puzzle back together with the scotch tape. Let the children do as much of the work as possible to keep it fun!
